Specially ordered and custom built for our 97 lb. Golden Retriever in Dec. 2012. This Variable Axle Wheelchair Cart (for neutral/counterbalance) has a Detachable Step-in Saddle and Outrigger Yoke Blocks for future upgrades. It sports the all-terrain tires so you will be ready for any walking surface. Received Jan. 2013. Our guy (but, this is for a MALE or a FEMALE) was just too far deteriorated by the time we had this made for him. Practiced with him about a dozen times (short periods). So, this $775 cart is essentially NEW. It is in MINT CONDITION. He passed away and my heart has been so broken, I just couldn’t bring myself to deal with this cart until now. We are just hoping we can help another beloved pet’s life be eased and uplifted with the use of this specially crafted cart. It has been stored within our home since then. Asking price is less than 1/2 of it’s original price. My guy’s measurements, requested by Eddie’s Wheels to build this cart, are: Height from floor to top point of shoulder blade, 24″; Length from center of shoulder to front of thigh, 19″; Length of thigh, 5 1/2″; Height from floor to groin, 17″; Width at the shoulders, 10 1/4″; Width at the ribs, 9 1/2″; Width at the rump, 10 1/4″.

Rear Leg Support Straps could be added TO THE ALREADY EXISTING REAR LEG SUPPORT CLIPS via Eddie’s Wheels or probably other places, should your dog need them. If interested, additional photos most gladly available via your request.
This wheelchair/cart will be shipped to you in it’s original box we received it in from Eddie’s Wheels. WE WILL COVER the UPS Ground Shipping Cost to you. (The UPS shipping cost to us from MA to KS was $55.00.)

  1. Would this cart work for a female dog? I’m not familiar with what makes a cart right for a male vs. female. Thanks

Stephanie, thank you for your question. I replied to you, via e-mail, but will answer here, too. Yes, I spoke directly with Eddie’s Wheels & they said it would work for a female. All you would have to do is pull the “pins” (easy) that hold the detachable saddle in place & turn it (the black figure 8 looking thing) from front facing to back facing postion & it would be ready for a female dog. Any further photos needed or questions, just let me know. Thank you for your interest.
